While the challenges that we currently face are unprecedented, and the long-term effects not yet known, BGCGTC is positioned to address a variety of complex issues for all families and communities, especially those that are low-income and under-resourced.

In 2020, BGCGTC served more youth than ever reaching 36,000.

The club developed virtual programming o support kids using distance technology to provide case management, instruction, and key emotional and mental resources.

As the school year began, the work continued to meet the need for support with virtual learning.

BGCGTC opened Back2Basics Learning Center at five locations across the county to aid youth with assignment completion and submission and provide technology support to those who lack resources.

In addition to meeting the needs of the community in very intentional ways, the organization has continued to advocate for critical issues facing youth.

BGCGTC encouraged club members and staff to get involved in civic activities by initiating a week long Voter Resistration Campaign.

The campaign included drive up and mobile voter registration opportunities, a youth-led social media voter campaign, and facilitating voter education activities for youth.

Most importantly, the organization has been committed to taking every safety precaution to protect our families and staff during this pandemic.
