Construction Superintendent

INTERTECH CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION OF AMERICA, INC.

This is a Contract position in Broward County, FL posted September 15, 2020.

No Recruiters and NO PHONE CALLS please Title : Construction Superintendent Job Description : The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for management of clients needs in the actual production of job through the daily coordination of Superintendent’s, labor and material deliveries, City inspections and Landlord requirements.

The Superintendent is responsible to ensure that the subcontractors, laborers and Owner’s vendors have all of the resources needed to perform their jobs, this includes but is not limited to proper information, labor, materials, coordination between subcontractors, deliveries of materials and owner supplied materials.

The Superintendent will be the main contact between the assigned Project Manger and field personnel.

Direct Supervisor : Assigned Project Manager Specific Daily Responsibilities : Provide coordination of labor, material and information through the use of architects’ plans, RFI’s, and owner’s input.

In addition the Superintendent with be responsible for the daily maintenance of project scheduling within estimated time schedules and budget amounts.

· Supervise and assist subcontractors in their daily performance of their work
· Maintain and report status of project schedule to the assigned Project Manager
· Act as a conduit in the request of information from the field to the office via the assigned Project Manager
· Identify and document changes orders as compared to design specs and plan, maintain file
· Identify and Document Charge Backs or Credits to Subcontractor’s contract if any aspect of their duty is not completed within assigned time frames or in a high-quality fashion
· Produce and obtain authorization for Change Orders if necessary, maintain file
· Maintain accurate logs/notes of critical conversations and critical dates
· Pre-plan deliveries so they arrive on job when needed
· Pre-Plan and maintain status of code inspections
· In conjunction with the Project Manager – o Document on site meeting with subs, clients reps and inspections o Document items that may become sub charge backs
· Assure punch-out is complete
· Maintain owner-required paperwork
· Maintain landlord-required paperwork
· Maintain governmental agency required paperwork
· Maintain Intertech required paperwork
· Maintain files/copies of receipts for reimbursement from client
· Report any major problems to the President immediately upon learning of the conflict (try to come to the President with potential solutions as well detailed information of the problem) Requirements : Organizational skills, self-starter / motivation, detailed and self-sufficient individual that has minimal 5-years experience working within regional malls for national retail and restaurant clients.

Carpentry and / or other trade skills a large plus.

Computer knowledge with Procore Project Management Software a must .

Flexibility in your personal schedule.

Working : You are hired to perform certain aspects of a construction project.

You will not and should not fill obligated to confine working hours to those of a normal day.

At times you will be required to work off hours and should maintain a maximum amount of flexibility in your schedule to assure Intertech’s goals.

Traveling : You are hired to perform certain aspects of a construction project.

You were hired with certain expectations that travel will be required from time to time.

You should maintain a maximum amount of flexibility in your schedule for travel, including out-of-town projects.

We have found the successful Manager has the following personality traits: 1) Clear understanding of the urgency of time 2) Ability to forecast and plan 3) Ability to anticipate conflicts and resolve 4) Ability to see the big picture and patience to manage the details 5) At least three years of experience working at a similar type of construction firm with similar clients Technical requirements: 1) Good written and verbal communication skills; 2) Above average computer skills with a required knowledge of Procore, Word, Excel, Outlook.

3) Experience working with similar clients in Restaurant, Retail and Food Services.
