Business Group Highlights Defense The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nationaposs defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for leading the development of data models to support business intelligence systems. Provides advanced technical support in the research, experimentation, business analysis and use of systems technology including architecture, integration capabilities and database management. Develops the end-to-end vision and the logical design that translates into physical databases, and how the data will flow through the successive stages involved. Knowledgeable and practices a wider range of data administration skills, often in a Business Process Reengineering context. Participates in strategic data planning, including development and implementation of DA policies, standards, and procedures. Understands data from the perspective of data processing and in the context of different life-cycle phases. Activities may include data quality engineering, metadata consolidation and integration, metamodel development and maintenance, repository management, data warehouse design and data mining, data security administration, and formulation of enterprise-specific data metrics. Provides technical support in the evaluation of data elements, codes, and business rules and data standards. Evaluate proposed data elementscodes and their attributes. Ensures that proposed data definitions are clear, concise, technically correct and accurately represented in the business processes Ability to collect business and data requirements, data analysis and develop data strategy and associated policies and procedures and ability to implement capabilities to meet business information needs. Qualifications Requires 10 to 12 years with BSBA or 8 to 10 years with MSMA or 5 to 7 years with PhD. 10 years of experience in a relevant field, specifically with extensive experience in the review and coordination of new or modified policies, vocabularies and data elements used throughout DoD. Experience in one or more of the following standards and technologies desired Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12,Business Enterprise Architecture, data dictionaries, data warehousing, enterprise application integration, metadata registry, Master Data Management (MDM), relational databases, Semantics, data retention, Structured Query Language (SQL), Procedural SQL, XML, including schema definitions (XSD) and transformations. Extensive experience in representing DoD interests in the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 data standards management process Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission. Salary Minimum 91,228.80 Salary Maximum195,020.80 The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Perspecta salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
