The Resilient Navigation Systems product line is responsible for providing U.S. and coalition forces with accurate GPS navigation capability to successfully achieve their missions—free of disruption and jamming. GNS solutions equip manned aircraft, unmanned systems, precision weapons, and ground systems specializing.
These products include anti-jam systems, integrated GPS/INS navigators, high performance Selective Availability Anti-Spoof Module (SAASM) receivers, and secured Military Code (M-Code) receivers.

The Resilient Navigation Systems Engineering Department requires a Section Manager to help lead the Engineering organization. The Systems Engineering Department is the foundational engineering organization responsible for program execution and future growth in the Resilient Navigation and Reconnaissance business area.
The Systems Engineering Center’s Resilient Navigation Department has an immediate opportunity for a Section Manager for the GPS and Navigation (GNS) Programs. The Section Manager performs direct line management activities and provides leadership for approximately 14 systems engineers with expertise in GPS and GPS aided navigation systems, including analysis, architecture, requirements and design. The Section Manager is responsible for the adherence to System’s Engineering’s best practices. The Section Manager will be responsible for the technical quality of all of the work products produced by those in the section while also ensuring that the work is done on schedule and on budget. The Section Manager interacts frequently with the Department Manager, team leads, and Chief Engineers ensuring that the section is meeting the needs of its internal customers, external customers and the Systems Engineering Center. Three quarters of the Section Manager’s time will be devoted to direct work on programs, as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), individual contributor, technical reviewer, or other as needed role.
The Section Manager needs to be an effective communicator, leader, and decision maker, and a strong advocate for process improvement, diversity in the work force, and high professional standards. Additionally, the Section Manager must support the Department Manager in bidding new GNS pursuits. The candidate will ensure two-way communications for section members; serve as a day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning employee job assignments, performance, and recognition for those working in the section. Responsibilities also include coordinating program staffing needs, interviewing applicants, and career development of people.
