This is a Full-time position in Albany, OR posted May 2, 2021.

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to support operations at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory in Albany, OR. This position will primarily support DOE’s research group by; performing evaluations of research projects for the purpose of identifying and controling hazards associated withe the research and assisting with the development of Safety Analysis and Review Documents. This will invole working closely with federal and contract researchers, site technicians, engineers, and other ES&H professionals. BS Degree from an accredited Industrial Hygiene or Environmental/Occupational Health program (with ABET accreditation). 8-10 years of applicable experience as an Industrial Hygienist Due to the nature of the work MUST BE a US Citizen Dual Citizenship not accepted Masters Degree CIH Preferred
At least two semesters of inorganic chemistry and two semesters of organic chemistry.
R&D/laboratory or metallurgy experience experience.
Experience working at a DOE National Lab preferred Amentbum is seeking an energentic idividual with good interpersonal and team building skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervisision. Additionally, the candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills and be proficient with Mircosoft Office Suite. This positions involves working within a number of differents focus areas including; laboratory ventilation, toxicology, exposure assessment, NORM/ionizing radiation, and OSHA general industry standards (including Hazard Communication and Laboratory Safety). A thorough working knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry is essential for a candidate to be successful in this position.
