This is a Full-time position in San Diego, CA posted April 7, 2021.

**Description**The _C Companies Internship Program_ is designed to engage college students in the practical application of a major technical study and to familiarize them with the interactions and requirements of the Design Build industry for our growing general contracting business.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena, aiding in the transition from college student to working professional.

Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their chosen discipline.

This position is located in our San Diego location.**Position Responsibilities**+ Provide support to project leadership teams as necessary on construction projects+ Become familiar with submittals, written communication, plans and specifications+ Perform, under supervision, routine aspects of general construction administrative support, and understanding of contract drawings.+ May use computer-assisted engineering software, Microsoft scheduling, and econstruction (Procore) platform to perform tasks+ Obtain onsite and field construction experience**Minimum Education & Experience Required**+ Must currently be attending a university focused on a construction management or engineering degree.

Sophomore level is a minimum requirement for this position.**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**+ Strong desire to pursue a career in construction.+ Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills+ Resourceful and self-motivated+ Solid organizational skills with a focus on detail+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office+ Strong written and verbal communication skills+ Ability to work and thrive in a team environment+ Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management+ Previous internship experience and/or involvement as an active member of related professional student association a plusWHO WE ARE: _C Companies_ , operating for more than 50 years, is a national planning, design and construction firm with nearly 500 employees and growing.
