We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers’ needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.SummaryThis position’s primary responsibility is to conduct thorough vehicle inspections in order to ensure vehicle quality standards are maintained. Includes audit of the quality of GLOVIS services such as – underbody coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO part installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs, and rail loading. Responsibilities Perform vehicle auditsMust be able to audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and have the ability to detect minor vehicle issues.Must have good color vision.Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets.Properly document results of the inspection and take pictures of non-conforming items.Must be truthful when recording results of inspections.Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately.Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues.Audit employee complianceAudit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructionsAssist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasuresProvide input on how to correct known issues within various departmentsAssist with the development of audit strategiesAssist with training of new staff on quality inspections.Assist with development and implementation of audit strategies, audit related policies and procedures, and assessment schedulesCommunicate the status of unresolved quality issuesAlert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns that are found during inspection process immediately.Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner.Other duties as assignedQualificationsSkills Self-starterGood written and verbal communication skillsGeneral knowledge of automobilesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to use/operate two-way radio and basic hand toolsBasic knowledge of MS Office products: Word, Excel (flow charts and process mapping), Outlook, Power PointEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/G.E.D Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Must hold a valid Driver’s LicensePhysical RequirementsAbility to work on rail cars at heights of approximately 20 feet Ability to operate a computer and copy/fax machine Ability to use a tablet, scanner, and camera usageSitStand/walk DriveBend/stoopClimb, Reach above shoulder Kneel/squatBalance, Push/PullCrawl/Crouch Lift up to 50 lbs.
