Refuse/Recycling Material Assistant (6:00am-2:30pm, M-F)

This is a Full-time position in Lincoln, NE posted April 6, 2021.

Perform refuse/recycling material pick-up and removal on campusPick up and remove ground refuse/recycling material on campus and in parking lots, emptying trash containers.Weekend work will be required, to include working on Sundays after home football games for refuse/recycling material pickup.Build, install and clean trash receptacles, dumpsters and dumpster enclosures.Operate a truck with dump box and toter lift, other equipment as required.Assist with routine parking lot maintenance, street and walk maintenance.Assist with landscape construction and maintenance for both City and East Campus including signage, benches, and fences.Assist with landscape maintenance duties.Remove snow and ice from steps, sidewalks and drives using manual and powered equipment and materials.Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in good repair. Basic computer skills helpful. Other duties as assigned.Frequent travel to various work areas and work in inclement weather required. Evening and weekend work may be required.Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
