Sr. Application Security Engineer – Sensor (Remote)

About the Role

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer. You will serve as a technical subject matter expert in various key areas of the Falcon Platform. This critical role in the organization will be responsible for performing technical security assessments and code reviews to highlight risk and help sensor engineering teams improve the overall security of our products.


  • Perform Threat Modeling and security analysis for the Falcon Sensor across multiple platforms

  • Identifying security risks and developing mitigation strategies

  • Design and implement security practices and standards

  • Develop system design and software best practices for sensor development teams

  • Develop tooling and automation to facilitate continual testing and increase coverage

Key Qualifications Required

  • MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience 

  • In-depth knowledge with C/C++ and System Development

  • Strong low-level OS internals experience in either Windows, Mac OS, or Linux

  • Application development experience on Windows, Mac, or Linux

  • Experience with reverse engineering and software bug hunting

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions and system performance

  • OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems

  • Experience with reverse engineering and software bug hunting

  • Experience with risk management and risk assessment frameworks

  • Other technical security certifications or academic background
