E-Commerce /Email Manager – No H1b/OPT/CPT Allowed

The Manager is responsible for overseeing email channel reporting and developing, managing and maintaining an ongoing universal taxonomy for email as well as Marriott websites, paid media, mobile apps and email.

Email is a critical member and guest communication channel, therefore accurate and consistent reporting on email programs and campaigns is essential to maximizing marketing investment and allocation of inventory.

The Manager will oversee performance reporting for the email channel at Marriott, including key campaigns and marketing programs, and work with agency partners who produce analyses of channel and campaign performance, test results, metrics by audience segment, and recommended optimizations.

Additionally, email along with other Digital channels must follow a consistent taxonomy so that cross-channel marketing programs can be measured consistently across the enterprise.

Today various marketing entities ndash channels, brands, continents, products, hotels ndash maintain their own taxonomies for marketing programs and campaigns, and often use siloed approaches to determine marketing effectiveness.

The Manager will build, distribute and manage a taxonomy that applies to all channels across Global Marketing, so that programs can be measured holistically and consistently, allowing Marriott to make informed decisions about where and how to invest limited marketing resources and channel inventory necessary for business growth.

Education and Experience middot 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or related major middot 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, email marketing, or related function CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Managing Work, Projects, and Policies middot Oversee reporting of the email channel, producing recurring or automated reports on channel and campaign performance using various platforms including but not limited to Adobe Analytics and Tableau middot Assist external agency teams that produce detailed analyses of channel and campaign performance, test results, metrics by audience segment, and recommended optimizations middot Audit current marketing channel taxonomies, including but not limited to websites, paid media, mobile apps and email middot Determine holistic, cross-channel approach to define marketing programs andor campaigns middot Achieve buy-in from various marketing channels to ensure all will use the new taxonomy middot Oversee implementation of the new taxonomy across channels middot Oversee implementation of ongoing program and campaign reporting across channels middot Update, modify and adjust taxonomy as needed (e.g., for new programs, campaigns, channels, lines of business)
