Supervisor IV Kit Production (Night Shift, 6pm-6am)

Job Overview:The Kit Production supervisor will supervise a portion of the Global Kit Production team across 24 hours a day seven days a week. They are responsible for the day to day supervision of the team members reporting to it ensure successful implantation of global kit production process, metrics and kits in order to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. Successful implementation and support of the global site support strategy, output and continuous growth, on time delivery and development of the department and team members. This is a night shift working 6pm-6am.Duties to include:* Supervise the day to day operations of the assigned global kit production team members including but not limited to:* Development of a competent work force to meet growth plans within budget* Manage work load balance* Ensure seamless integration of Global Kit Production services* Ensures the consistent implementation and use and review of the SOP’s* Ensures appropriate resource allocation to successfully implement and execute project plans to achieve agreed upon service levels* Coach, mentor and develop Global Kit Production employee’s* Complete thorough, timely and well documented performance evaluations and, where applicable interim progress review for the assigned direct reports* Establish and monitored performance objectifies for assigned direction reports and taking corrective action where appropriate* Day to Day supervision of individual team members* Coordinating and monitoring progress to ensure achievement of timelines and goals* Effectively and timely adherence to management communications, meetings and procedures* Adheres to department budget* Promptly address safety issues and escalates as needed for resolution* Vendor Management* Interview and Hire* Completion of time cards* Monitors and tracks manages and ensure resolution of all complaints and customer concerns* Lead and Develop Talent* Provide PMD* Write performance review* Review Metrics individual and department levels* Address and coach individuals as needed* Provide cross functional projects for development* Documentation practices and dealing with HR* Monthly 1:1* Training individually and departmentally* Administrative tasks* Review of training files* Assist and support management in the development and implementation of Strategy* Creation* Delivering* Understands and supports* Cascades message and delivery* Instills a culture of growth, continuous process improvement* Lead/Participate with customer visits, tours, requests and audits* Communication reporting* Requests for information* Sales quotes- Defense Bidding* New Service Offerings* Reporting* Meetings* Provide process excellence and system excellence* New Service Offerings* Process Excellence savings* Process Excellence Projects* Growth and Development of the system and line* Promotes consistency across shifts* Monitor kit production workflow process to ensure that the kits are assigned based on the current algorithm. Ensure that all work orders are processed and shipped out on time.* Monitor and track resolution of all client complaints, issues and concerns related to the portfolio of its assigned direct reports. Manage and ensure the resolution of these issues with the appropriate contacts.* Reportable Issues* CAIRS* Internal process* Trending analysis* Facilitate lesson learned meeting where appropriate* Establish cross functional mechanisms to increase communication accountability and understanding of deliverables globallyEducation/Qualifications:* High School diploma or equivalent* Preferred:BS/BA four year degrees or equivalent or a two year associate degree with two years relevant Covance/ industry experience or four years relevant Covance or industry experienceExperience:Minimum Required:Two years experience in a production/shipping environmentOne year experience in a production/shipping supervisor role.Verifiable ability to maintain a stable and consistent performance under pressure or oppositionVerifiable ability to establish performance goals, coaching performance, providing training and evaluating performanceDemonstrated strong customer service skillsExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal skillsStrong planning, organization and problem solving skillsDemonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaborativelyPreferred:Demonstration of strong contribution to team work.
